Electronic counterfeit detection based on the measurement of electromagnetic fingerprint
نویسندگان
چکیده
Counterfeit integrated circuits become a big challenge for the whole electronic industry. The use of electronic counterfeits can cause reduced performance of circuits, or failure of the whole system. New efficient approaches of counterfeit device detection are always required. Since the electromagnetic emission level of integrated devices depends on various circuit parameters like technology, manufacturing and aging, the electromagnetic emission measurement could be an approach to detect the counterfeit. In this article, the principles of the methodology are explained and two case studies are presented, where three ways of analysis of data are discussed. Corresponding author. A Robust Strucutural Fingerprint Restoration
Fast and accurate ridge detection in fingerprints is essential to each AFIS (Automatic Fingerprint Identification System). Smudged furrows and cut ridges in the image of a finger print are major problems in any AFIS. This paper investigates a new online ridge detection method that reduces the complexity and costs associated with the fingerprint identification procedure. The noise in fingerprint...
متن کاملA Comprehensive Framework for Counterfeit Defect Coverage Analysis and Detection Assessment
The increasing threat of counterfeit electronic components has created specialized service of testing, detection, and avoidance of such components. However, various types of counterfeit components – recycled, remarked, overproduced, defective, cloned, forged documentation, and tampered – pose serious threats to supply chain. Over the past few years, standards and programs have been put in place...
متن کاملThe Counterfeit Electronics Problem
Counterfeit electronics have been reported in a wide range of products, including computers, telecommunications equipment, automobiles, avionics and military systems. Counterfeit electronic products include everything from very inexpensive capacitors and resistors to costly microprocessors to servers. This paper describes the counterfeit electronic products problem, and discusses the implicatio...
متن کاملSpoof Attack Detection in Fingerprint Authentication using Hybrid fusion
In the modern era, with the growing need of biometric technologies, spoof attacks are becoming a serious concern. A number of solutions have been proposed to detect the use of fake fingerprints[3]. This paper takes advantage of skin elements in fingerprints, namely: minutiae points and Ridge Bifurcations to investigate spoof attacks. Graphical results using histogram approach in MATLAB show the...
متن کاملBiosensing Based on Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy by Using Metal Nanoparticles
Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is a promising tool in the analytical science because it provides good selectivity and sensitivity without the labeling process required by fluorescence detection. This technique consists of locating the target analyte on nanometer range of roughed Au-nanoparticles. The presence of the metal nanoparticles provides a tremendous enhancement to the result...
